How cool would this have been to see???

One of the closely guarded secrets from Michael Jackson’s “This Is It” concert spectacular was going to be a new 3D mini-film, nicknamed the “Dome Project.”

Jackson finished shooting the project only two weeks ago. It included recreations of the Thriller music video in which “the audience would have felt like they were visiting the Thriller experience, like they were there,” according to Vince Pace, the man behind the 3D cameras used for the shoot.

Wow.

That would have been awesome!

The production took 5 weeks to complete with only a week of actual shooting, most of which the King of Pop was present for. Said Pace, “To think that Michael’s gone now, that’s probably the last documented footage of him to be shot in that manner.”

Sadly, Jackson’s frail demeanor was evident to the crew on the 3D shoot even a few weeks ago. Michael introduced himself to the whole crew and walked “with a spring in his step,” but needed assistance when walking down steps.

Along with the recreation of the Thriller set, a “lush jungle” set was built for “This Is It”, as well as a replication of a construction site including “scantily clad male dancers wearing carpenter’s belts.”

We’re sure this footage will be released…eventually.

On the logisitics of having a boyfriend: It’s always going to be long-distance, even if I date the boy who lives next door to me in Nashville. I’ll be flying to see him and flying him places to see me. It feels like it would involve more scheduling, and I already deal with a lot of scheduling in my life. Of course, if I met somebody who was worth it, I would probably stop thinking that way!

The Britney Spears music video for “Radar” just leaked out onto the Internets!

It’s the fourth single from her latest album, Circus. The vid was shot on May 27 and 28 at the Bacara Resort & Spa just north of Santa Barbara, Calif. It was directed by Dave Meyers, who previously worked with Brit on her music videos “Lucky”, “Boys”, and “Outrageous.”

Enjoying a little time off from her performing duties, Beyonce Knowles was spotted soaking up the sun on Miami Beach on Tuesday (June 30).

Having flown to Florida following the BET Awards, the “Irreplaceable” songstress took a dip in the ocean before packing up and catching a private jet out of town.

Ready to continue along with the tour grind, Miss Knowles is now heading off to Atlanta, Georgia for a show on Wednesday night (July 1) before making her way to Texas for shows in Houston and Dallas.

As for her weekend in Los Angeles for the BET Awards, Beyonce performed a tribute to Michal Jackson during the night’s ceremony before being taken on a double date with hubby Jay-Z and pals Gwyneth Paltrow and Chris Martin.

Still living it up in southern Florida, Stephanie Pratt practiced up on her beach volleyball skills in Miami on Tuesday afternoon (June 30).

Taking to the beach with a few friends, the MTV reality starlet donned a skimpy pink bikini as she displayed her athletic prowess while doing her best to keep her top from falling off.

Keeping active on her Twitter account, as well, Miss Pratt wrote, “So tired! Just went for a swim and played volleyball and soccer in the miami heat!”

As previously reported, Stephanie spent her weekend in the sunshine state enjoying time with friends and checking out a private screening of “Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen”. 

Gossip Girl star Taylor Momsen gets pretty in pink at Allegra Versace’s 23rd birthday party at the Gramercy Park Hotel in New York City on Monday (June 29).

Allegra is the daughter of designer Donatella and niece of Gianni. The festivities were held at the Gramercy Park Hotel.

The 15-year-old’s band, Pretty Reckless, has taken up much of Taylor’s time recently. She also was asked if her alter-ego Jenny Humphrey would like her music, to which she replied, “I think she’d like it. Her dad’s a rocker. We’re trying to bring rock back with the Pretty Reckless here, so I think she’d like it. She put the Ramones in her fashion, so [yes].”

With Michael Jackson’s public viewing coming up, the question remains where the King of Pop will be laid to rest.

As we mentioned earlier, a public viewing has been confirmed for this Friday at Neverland Ranch, followed by a private memorial service scheduled for Sunday.

But, now, Rudy Clay, the mayor of Jackson’s hometown of Gary, Indiana, is contacting the Jackson family in order to make get MJ there – and keep him there!

And even if Jackson won’t be buried in Indiana, they at least want to hold a memorial service.

In fact, a memorial service has already been set for July 10th at the U.S. Steel Works ballpark in Gary.

According to Clay, “I believe that his body will lie in state in Gary, Indiana. Now, it may not happen, but I believe it will.” Adding that it would be “a memorial that’s fit for the prince of peace and a memorial that’s fit for Gary, Indiana’s favorite son, the greatest entertainer that ever lived.”

As for the burial site, it can go near a proposed Jackson family museum and performing arts center.

But, we’re guessing the final decision might be up to Jackson’s parents – or his own will!
